Removing polymeric sand from clay pavers

Question

This is a follow up to a previous question since I'm unable to edit that one. Basically I added polymeric sand on my clay pavers and somehow they got cured on top of the pavers. Now I have a 300 sq. feet patio that does not look as great as I want! Is there any way to remove the sand on top of the pavers without having to redo the bricks?
