Removing sharpie from jansport backpack shoulder straps?

what can i use to remove sharpie from my backpacks shoulder straps? i wrote on them last year but i just want it off. (im gonna use the same bag again this year). can anyone help me? i appreciate it..

Wow, that stuff is pretty permanent; I don't think you can. It's why they're called 'Permanent Markers'.

Mr. clean magic erasers. they took it off mine.

Try Lysol spray.

I used to color on my phone with sharpie. Lysol took it all off. Now sure how well it will work on your backpack, but at the very least, it probably won't ruin it.
