Removing wood-finish from stone?

A little bit of Behr's deck wood-finish dripped on the surrounding stone ledges around my deck. I've tried regular soap and water, and i've tried paint thinner but it's taking forever. Any suggestions? including what I should use to wipe it down (sponge, rag, etc)

try a pressure washer whatever you do it'll be diffcult

You could also try a weak (diluted) solution of sulfuric acid or muriatic acid and scrub just on the stains.  Wear gloves if you go this route.
