Renaissance Art???

Question

I need to write an essay of Renaissance art which shows the 5 pieces you fell have been most influential. So could anybody help me out??? Also I have to defend why it is such an influential piece. So if somebody would tell me 5 renaissance pieces or post a website i would really appreciate it.

Botticelli: Birth of Venus

da Vinci: Last Supper

da Vinci: Mona Lisa

(I'm limiting myself to painting here: if sculpture is also permitted, I'd put Michelangelo's Pieta (1) and David and eliminate his Sistine and da Vinci's Mona Lisa, tho' that last one's a tough call).

okay, reply to me asap, are you talking about the european renaissance, or the harlem renaissance? if ur teacher or proffessor didn't say which, you could do harlem, it is much easier than the other one. but tell me, i know a bunch about both. like if you choose harlem, jacob lawrence was a great painter who interpreted the great migration and the rise of the jazz age. wheras artists like LEONARDO DA VINI (duh) in the other renaissance focused on more imaginative standpoints. i may sound like an idiot saying this, but whoever painted mona lisa, (i was just quized on this... gurrr) was definately a renaissance painter, i remember that.

in your essay, you should mention the definition of renaissance, it would be really cool. anyways, it means, "rebirth" i think it is either latin or italian, you might want to look that one up. and an influential piece is something that has a great influence upon everyone. like that piece that is so gosh darned famous and is on the stamps and everything,  it looks like this
