Barao and Faber will take on each other in the main event of UFC 149 which will be televised live from Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The main card will be co-headlined by the non-title clash between Tim Boetsch and Hector Lombard.
The showdown will be held on July 21, 2012 and Renan is truly excited at colliding with the second best bantamweight in UFC. Barao, 25, has been in a total of 30 mixed martial art bouts, boasting an intimidating 28 wins.
The young Brazilian is widely known as a lethal submission specialist as he has pinned 13 of his opponents by making them submit. The agility, resilience and powerful striking ability of Barao is evident from the fact that he has collected six of his wins

very well. I'm very focused for this fight and his wrestling will not be a problem. It will be a tough fight. Urijah is an experienced fighter and well rounded. I will do my best to get that belt.”
When asked as to whether he is feeling any kind of pressure or not about the engagement with an experienced belligerent like Faber, Renan commented, “I'm feeling no pressure at all for this fight. I just have to do my part and put my trust in my coaches
and friends.”
Faber, the former World Extreme Cagefighting featherweight champion and the one and only man who nailed the number one bantamweight in the world Dominick Cruz, has been in a total of 31 mixed martial art bouts, boasting 26 wins.
Also known as ‘The California Kid’, Urijah is also a submission specialist and has pinned 14 of his opponent by making them submit. Furthermore, the 33-year-old has collected seven of his wins by knockout and just four by decision.
Faber is coming off an impressive submission win over Brian Bowles and this will be the second time that the Californian proud will enter in the bantamweight title bout. The bout will definitely be an explosive one and the odds are equal on both sides as
both men are talented and quite expert in what they do best.
