Renault Clio CD Player Installation Problem?

I have an 05 Plate renault Clio (MK2). I've recently bought an LG cd player....

i've plugged it all in and the CD player works fine, but i'm having great difficulty fitting it into the Dash board. its almost as if the CD Player is too long to fit into the hole and it sticks out about an inch. is this just a one off and the cd player is just not the right shape for the car? do i have to get a certain brand of cd player to fit into a renault clio? can i solve this problem myself? thanks

I know your problem, some cars have only enough space for small cd players.

the only thing i can recomand you do is check if you can cut out the panel behind the cd player to make more room for your player to go in, but since you have a pretty new car i wouldnt do it if i were you. try and replace it with a smaller one.
