Question:

Renault megane coupe starting problem!! My megane coupe 2002, wont start, occasionnaly, and batttery is foul!

The battery is ok, no signal lights on, and the engine looks like it is ready to start, but it wont!! The engine is turning over but won't ignite...this happens occasionally, at least once a day, for the past 2 months...please, if anyone knows something...help!! :-)

  1. I had the same problems on my 2002 Megane and it is a common problem. The car starts normally most of the time but occasionally and usually at the worst time it just turns over and won't start. The TDC sensor ( crank sensor ) is either faulty or it has a loose connection. Easy to locate and fix ... don't take it to a Renault dealer ..!! They will charge you £100 for 2 minutes work .
