Renault re-signs Vitaly Petrov for the next two seasons
Vitaly Aleksandrovich Petrov has been re-signed by Renault for the upcoming two seasons of Formula 1 racing, on Wednesday. Now, the Russian will join his Polish teammate Robert Kubica for the upcoming seasons of the Formula 1 world
championship event.
Presently, Vitaly is eyeing to stay in the circuit as Russia is going to host the Russian Grand Prix in 2014. The selection of the Russian driver for team Renault is no doubt an important thing for Russia.
It is to be known that the recent racing season had not been a very encouraging one for Vitaly, as he remained inconsistent throughout the season, but the new contract with the same team has given the twenty six years old Vitaly
a new momentum.
In a very recent interview, Petrov shared his views about the matter with the media in a very excited mood. He said that he is very delighted with the fact that Renault racing team has re-signed him for two years and it has given
him a lot of inspiration to stay put in the world of F1 racing.
When asked about his recent experience with the team, the Russian told that it was a very good year for him as he had gained a lot from the past season. Petrov expressed his aims and said that he will try his level best to comeback
stronger in the upcoming season and the faith that the team Renault has shown in him is an honour for him.
According to some racing critics, the recent season was certainly worthwhile for the Russian, as despite of his inexperience, Vitaly still managed to finish thirteenth in the standings table. According to Vitaly, the best race
for him was the Hungarian Grand Prix where he managed to end the race on the fifth spot. Moreover, it is also expected that Vitaly will put up a better performance in the upcoming season as compared to past season.
On the other hand, the manager of the racing team Renault, Eric Boullier seemed happy about the matter. Eric expressed his thoughts to the media by saying that the team is very happy that Vitaly will stay with them for two more
years. He added that he is hopeful Renault and Vitaly Petrov will fully support each other in the next season to grab better results of over the point’s table.
While talking about the preparations for next season, Eric Boullier told that his team has been working hard to improve the ability of the vehicles. He added that good drivers are always important for a racing team and he is hopeful
that Robert Kubica and Vitaly Petrov will give their best in the next season.
While talking about the twenty-six years old veteran racer Robert Kubica, Eric told that Robert is a very consistent performer and is a very important asset for the team. He added that in the next season, Robert will help Vitaly
improve his skills and both the drivers will perform at a higher level.
The chief of the Renault team Gerard Lopez told the media that Vitaly Petrov is a very talented driver and his performance in the last season was a vivid proof of his remarkable potential. He added that the next racing season will
certainly be a better season for Renault.
