Renault’s Bruno Senna: We need to be realistic for 2011 Abu Dhabi race weekend – Formula 1 news
Renault driver Bruno Senna has said that they need to be realistic in the upcoming Abu Dhabi race weekend, which will start from Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Yas Marina Circuit.
Senna added that after the 2011 Indian Grand Prix, they can again do a good job in the upcoming race weekend of the 2011 Formula 1 season in Abu Dhabi.
The Enstone-based outfit driver also mentioned that they will try their best to stay ahead of their rivals throughout the 2011 Abu Dhabi race weekend.
Talking to reporters, Senna commented, “It is going to be a long race and I think some of the other teams have a little bit of an advantage, but we are going to be pushing and will do our utmost to stay ahead of our rivals.”
He went on to mention, “In terms of managing our expectations, fortunately we always wait until Friday to know what to expect in terms of results, and we believe that we can do a good job again in Abu Dhabi. It is a very tight group; we need to get everything
100% right to be in front of them.”
The Brazilian driver further added that they must show better show during the raceday, which will take place on Sunday, November 13 at the Yas Marina Circuit.
The 28-year-old driver is driving for the team Lotus-Renault since the Belgian Grand Prix of the 2011 Formula 1 season. In the 2011 Indian Grand Prix, he made progress in his R31 car and after trying his best, he came at the 12th position in
the final race classifications after starting from the 14th place on the grid.
For the upcoming race weekend in Abu Dhabi, Senna stated that the team Renault need to do massive efforts in order to compete with their rivals during Sunday’s race.
After taking part in the six rounds of the ongoing season for Renault since the Belgian race weekend, Senna is placed at the 18th position ahead of Williams’ Pastor Maldonado with 2 points in the 2011 drivers’ standings.
