Montpellier coach, Rene Girard, is expecting a stern test from Huub Stevens’ side, but is confident about his side’s chances of getting maximum points from that game.

"A point would be great, but if we can get all three then why not, we have nothing to lose, everything to gain."
Talking about Montpellier’s defeat against Arsenal in the first game of the competition, the 58-year-old said that it was the first time his side played in the competition and there was massive pressure on the players.
However, the coach feels that MHSC played well against the Gunners and they have shown the world that they can compete at this level.

Girard added that the Premier League giants are the toughest team in the group and Schalke are the second best. Montpellier have the confidence to play in Europe and the coach is expecting a much improved performance from his side this time around.
“That gave us a bit of extra confidence, and now we have to continue against the second favourites. We have the desire and the determination to get a good result."
Montpellier face Evian TG in their next Ligue 1 encounter.
