The reigning French champions play host to the Bundesliga outfit at Stade de la Mosson in a match, which has little significance in terms of results for La Paillade. However, coach, Rene Girard wants to win at home in order to bow out of the Champions League

But Montpellier wants to ruin their plans and the coach has assured the fans that his side will go for a victory

While talking to reporters, Rene Girard stated that Montpellier have been really disappointing in their maiden Champions League campaign and the team has let everyone down. The boss said that his side had the ability to do well in Europe but unfortunately
things didn’t go the way they wanted.
Talking about MHSC’s game on Tuesday, the coach said that La Paillade have nothing to lose now but added that their honour is at stake.
“We could have done better, but this is still a big game. The most important thing at stake is our honour."
On the other hand, Schalke coach, Huub Stevens, wants to win the match as it will help his side stay at the top of their group. However, the coach is wary of the threat the French champions pose and is expecting a stern test from the hosts.

Praising Rene Girard’s side, Stevens said that MHSC are a very good side and Die Knappen need to be at their very best in order to collect maximum points from the game.
