The Montpellier coach is looking forward to La Paillade’s first ever Champions League game, and has backed his side to defeat the Premier League giants on Tuesday

Rene Girard’s side has started the 2012/2013 season in a worst possible manner, winning only once in the league after five games.
However, the coach is confident that MHSC will find the winning formula soon and has backed his side to do well against their English opponents in the Champions League encounter.

Montpellier need to find their rhythm and coach feels that the match against the Gunners is a perfect
stage for his side to hit the top gear.
"I'm not in the habit of letting things get me down. I've had bad moments before, and now we have a magnificent opportunity in front of us.”
Girard said that playing in the European club competition is a great honour for Montpellier, and to face a team like Arsenal in the very first game, will add to the excitement.
The 58-year-old said that the situation at the club is far from pleasing and has urged his players to find their best form as early as possible.
“It's not every day you get to play Arsenal in the Champions League. We've had a tough start, but it’s us and only us who can get us out of the doldrums.”
When asked about his feelings regarding Montpellier’s match against Arsenal, Rene Girard said that he is excited to be facing the London giants. Champions League is a tough competition and coach feels that La Paillade need to beat such teams, if they want
to succeed in the competition.
“I'm not worried. I'm just excited because this is a competition that demands a lot of passion in order to succeed."
Montpellier Herault face Arsenal on Tuesday, in the opening game of their first ever Champions League campaign.
