team’s current performance, but his optimism remains confined to the present.
The coach is pleased with the team’s current progress, hoping that it would continue. The Frenchman was satisfied with his players’ performance throughout the game. However, the tactician also stated that football is an unpredictable sport, and nothing can
be said, as to what would happen in the games to come. The 58-year-old explained:
“We played well. We were serious and rigorous. And we took our chances too. But nothing is ever perfect in football. Things change very quickly.”
Girard is delighted with the current series of performances, as he believes that La Paillade have been producing consistent displays of good football. The former FC Girondins de Bordeaux player insists that the results are a proof of the player’s efforts.

The Frenchman acknowledges that the reigning champions didn’t have a good start to the campaign. However, he still believes that it’s not too late for the Montpellier-based club to turn their fortunes around.
The coach is not yet promising anything, but went on to state that the team is striving to achieve positive results and are determined to continue their current run of performances. The former Nimes Olympique coach said:
“Sometimes, when we score an early goal, we can fear that the game will become complicated. That was not the case. We have to get on with our season knowing that we did not start the campaign well.”
