  1. If you mean recycleable products which are replacing non-recycleable products, how about jute shopping bags replacing plastic shopping bags? Jute is a coarse fibre, grown in Asia amongst other places, and it can be woven into material resembling sacking. Its very durable, you can print designs on it, and it and lasts ages; and when it finally wears out it can be cut into little squares with scissors and composted, where the worms will just go straight through it. (Compare plastic bags which are just a litter problem!). Jute bags are rapidly becoming popular here in the UK and sales grow daily!

  2. Well plastic is slowly replacing Styrofoam. I see a lot of plastic take home from restaurants.

Most car parts can be rebuilt such as alternators, trans, and breaks, and the other parts can be melted and made into something else.
