Renewable scholarships?

I have a question about scholarships. I won this organ scholarship, and here's what it reads:

Award: 2 - $500 annual awards. Students may reapply for the scholarship.

Does this mean that two people are awarded (well, they were) or that you can be given the scholarship twice in a year?

Can somebody explain this?

It means two people are given the award each year.  You can reapply next year.  Congrats!
