Question:

Renewing My Geico Insurance After 2 Month?

I have a balance with Geico of $240 that's been due for about 2 months. I haven't had insurance in those 2 months either.

When I call tomorrow to pay my balance, will they renew my insurance again or say that I can no longer get insurance with them due to being late with payment and having no policy in 2 months? Thanks for all your help.

  1. They can do either or...basically it is up to them.  I had a friend who was with them, and when she got married, because of her new husbands reckless driving records they just DROPPED HER...I am soooo sderious.  They told her that they could NOT and did not want to put him on her insurance.

  2. You will have to rewrite the policy - you can't renew a cancelled policy.

They very well might require you to pay in full for the next term, but as you would normally negotiate that with an agent, and Geico doesn't "do" agents, you're on your own to negotiate that.
