  1. Go to the embassy and ask where to go. You will be directed from there. Then you will stand in a line for a while. I had to renew mine in Germany one time and it took all day.

  2. I have not done this in Canada, but I have done it in both UK and Singapore.  Usually you need to fill out the form for renewal (download from site), then submit with 2 passport size fotos, and any supporting docs for name changes if any.  There will be a cost that you need to pay the govt to have it issued.  Just send to the US embassy in Canada and they will take care of it.  For me, it has been a very simple process.  Make sure that you have all of your visa information handy as well (if you need for Canada).

  3. If you are eligible to renew your passport by mail, and you live in Canada, you should renew it thorugh the National Passport Office in Philadelphia, PA.

  4. You can renew your passport in the US embassy in Canada.  Just bring your passport, pictures or other identifying documents.

  5. It's all a matter of paperwork...drop a letter to the State Department Stating you want to renew your passport.

Since you already have a passport on file the most you

will probably be asked to do is mail in your old passport

and pay the renewal fee..if there is more to it than that

just follow the instructions they send you in the mail

and you are good to go

  6. You cannot renew your pass port but embassy can provide you with papers that can be used in place of pass port till you go back and renew your pass port in your country.

  7. Hello,When I had to renew my passport out of the US I had to turn in my present passport and 3 pictures. They attaced the pics to the application and took some money. They told me to come back in 10 days and collect the new passport.  They gave me a receipt that could be used while I waited for the new passport. It may be easier or you may need less than 10 days in other countries.
