  1. It depends on where you are.

The UK seems to condone living off of the government.

However, in the US the fact that you choose not to work does not entitle you to anything.    You can work if you want to, live in a cardboard box if that is your choice.

  2. It depends on your age, if your single and under 25 they will pay for a single room in a shared house, where you would share a bathroom and kitchen and have your own single room. That is all you will be entitled to, i would stay at home if i was you. They will not give you rent toward a flat or house because your one person and there are families who need those places before you, so if you can bare to share a house with a load of strangers then apply if not stay where you are!

  3. Anybody can if their income is low.

  4. This is how the Irish system works..not sure where you're from so don't know if it'll apply.  Firstly you have to get on the housing list. You can't do this if you're living at the family home, you have to be renting or homeless.  When you're looking for a place make sure the owner accepts rent allowance then when you've moved in you can apply.  You're only entitled to RA if you're on disability allowance or similar.  You can't get it on unemployment benefit.  If you're struggling then you could explain your situation and hope for the best, unfortunately they're not exactly generous if you're local!  Good luck and go to your nearest citizens information office for advice.

  5. If you don't want to work, go back home and live with mama. Or sit on the front porch, and watch the immigrants work long hours trying to get ahead.

  6. You're not "entitled" to anything unless you're in the military, and there you get rent allowance.

Not sure what immigrants you are referring to. Why don't you apply for welfare if you're so hard up?

  7. all you'll be entitled to is this (according to  http://www.dsdni.gov.uk/ssa/benefit_info...

******you are single and under 25 years of age and are not a tenant of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive or a registered Housing Association. The Northern Ireland Housing Executive will make another decision based on the cost of a non self contained room (where the customer has shared use of kitchen and bathroom facilities) in the same area.

my partner and i work 90+ hours a week, leaving our 2 1/2 year old with a childminder all day, and we still have to live at home with my mother, all sharing one room, So what gives YOU the right to have your own pad for FREE!!?

You need to get a JOB then move out when you can afford it.

ps not all imigrants are on housing benefit, alot work their **** off to afford to live in this **** hole they call the uk.

And for the ones who sponge just like you intend to, well they can go get their lazy *** a job too!

PS YOUR TRYING FOR A KID!! A BABY WON'T GET YOU A HOUSE TRUST ME!

  8. oh I have neighbors who are immigrants and work two or three jobs just to put food on the table and keep roofs over thier  heads.

get off your butt and work. if you don't want to work, go be a travelling hippie in the woods. no one is entitled to anything in the US, you are what you make yourself.

oh and the military housing is based on where you live, and sometimes, it can't even cover your housing costs.

but s for immigrants, some of them I know are more hard working than most of us americans today.
