Rent to own a house ad from craigslist?

Did anyone know anything about company Anchorhousefinancial, they claim to provide a listing of preforeclosure homes for $199...and assist in "rent-to-own" deal. Their web address is http://anchorhousefinancial.com/(S(ky10gu455qom1ljjo2dmc545))/aboutus.aspx Is this is some kind of a scam??

First of all, foreclosure list is public information where any one can get.

You don't have to pay for it. Also on rent to own houses, it's too much of risk where lot of factors involve negatively on your side. You are paying your landlord but who knows if your land lord is behind on his mortgages and etc... If you can, try getting FHA loan where you can own your own home for as little as about 3% down payment. With the sellers contribution on buyer's market right now, there is greater chance where you can even own a home without a down payment.

Rent to owns are a bad idea..... You dont actually own the house until the last payment...  What if the owner has a judgment or liens against him? It goes directly to the property. When you make your last payment he wont be able to transfer it to you of if he can the liens will still be on the property...... What if he dies before you pay it off and the estate sells it or uses sleazy legal means to sell it and rip you off....... Avoid....
