I am having problems with my real estate. I live in NSW and keep on telling them about mould problems(I have mould all over my bathroom and main bedroom, which keeps coming back again and again) and noise from the neighbours, but they seem to just be palming me off.. I have had a look at the Fair trading website, and there is not much info there about my rights.Does anyone have any advice of had a similar situation with their real estate, and what should I do? I am sick of writing letters to them telling them of my concerns, with no help. I have been there for 3 months and my lease ends in dec, is there any way I can break it earlier due to these problems. It is effecting my health as I also suffer from asthma...Aussies only please

  1. I am not an Aussie but I can tell that best thing to do is to get medical evidence of the danger to your health your living conditions pose for you. See your doctor right away. It is a very good legal reason to break your lease you may also file a police report, it is very important to establish a paper trail as a legal matter it will become.

    Good Luck

  2. Your best bet is to call the local health department and have a mold test done as well, This may get the issue resolved sooner than anything else will they should help or there maybe a diffrent county dept that handles situations like this it may even be your local housing authority. You maybe able to get out of your lease with no problems and mold is also terrible to your health.
