Rental agency ran my credit for a house and then never responded and it's been 3 weeks. Can they do this?

I've called a couple times and they said they didn't know when they would have an answer. I haven't called in about 10 days. This is awful. I would rather them just say no. Can i force a decision out of them at some point?

There is no way to force an answer out of them.  If they never answer you, they never have to give a reason for denying your application.  That keeps them out of legal hot water.  Just accept the fact that you were denied and move on.

They should have notified you by now, or you should have received a declination letter.
