Renting a Moped in Mexico - Cancun?

I'm going on Holiday in July, and would like to know the requirements of renting a moped, as I've heard it's a decent way to see the sites.

they usually ask for a driver's license not as a requirement but to id you...little else. helemts are required and you will be stopped by transit police if you dont have one.

cancun is a little busy for a moto.... unless you have a lot of experience driving in mexico and are really comfortable on a bike. i prefer to use the bus to get into cancun city from the zone and from there taxi to any place i want. if youre gonna see the sight in the zone alone youre probably better off taking a taxi to an interesting spot and walking about. isla mujeres is more suited for a moto...less traffic and more to see, in terms of natural beauty.
