Renting a place in cork /ireland?

In a few months I will most likely move from germany to Ireland (Cork). I've been on several websites looking for an unfurnished 1 or 2 bedroom place to rent. I dont need to live in downtown Cork and don't want to spend a fortune on rent. But so far I couldnt find anything for less than 900-1000 euros at least a month. Is Cork really that expensive or was i just on the wrong websites?

  1. www.daft.ie

2 bedrooms means 2 bedrooms, not 2 rooms, so a 2 bedroom apparment will have a kitchen and living room + bathroom

It is very unusual in Ireland to get unfurnished house (we had the same problem)

  2. Did you use daft.ie - that's the most widely used site in Ireland for rental of property. Unfortunately, Ireland is incredibly expensive, and to rent a 1 or 2 room place on your own will set you back 800 euro at minimum.

Daft also has accommodation for sharing available, so if you're looking for something cheaper, perhaps you could share for a while while on the lookout once you're in Cork.

    Good luck!

  3. daft.ie  is the one to use.
