Renting an apartment/unit/townhouse?

Question

How old do you have to be to rent an apartment/townhouse/unit in sydney? Just wondering if theres a minimum age or anything.

Can couples rent at 18 or 19?

It is very difficult to rent at the moment owing to the Mortgage Crisis.Most landlords look for working couples who have good previous references.There is no minimum age it is up to the Landlord to decide who they wish to rent to.I would put my name down at various agencies and see how you go,  I hope that you are in full time employment otherwise you will find it very difficult.Perhaps sharing with someone who already rents is the way to go. There are allways adds for this type of accomadation. Good Luck
