Renting in London??

Hey anyone know of any sites that private landlords advertise on. I'm looking for somewhere to live around the Ealing area and found a really nice apartment and whenit came to signing the agreement i found out that there were loads of other extras amounting to nearly £1000 thats the letting agency had "forgotten" to tell me about!!! Thank god i read the small print. I cant believe they get away with charging this. I already had to come up with nearly £3000 for the 6 weeks deposit and 4 weeks rent. There's no way i can afford another £1000 up front as well. Thanks

  1. Hiya, try:

    http://www.gumtree.com

    http://www.moveflat.com

    Good luck!! Hx

  2. that sounds about right for rip off london.  sadly alot of estate agents do that and since the cost of rent is so stupidly high a deposit could easily come to 3k.

try the loot, they have a website, but its a news paper.

    happy hunting

  3. Sam, I'm afraid that is the price around Ealing and Acton, for 2 bedroom flat you need at least 1200, then they want 4 weeks deposit and a month rent in advance. The other idea is there are some people in Greenford you might be able to get only a room in house for like 120 a week, also in Acton high street but it is only a room and you have to chair bathroom.
