If you call 911 and report an emergency, the appropriate police agency will dispatch someone at the taxpayer's expense.  If that does not answer your question, try re-phrasing.

I agree with the first answer.  If they are coming to investigate a crime, or respond to an emergency, the homeowner/resident will not be charged.  If they are coming for some other reason, we need to know WHY in order to give an answer.
