Question:

Reoccurring dreams as a child..?

I used to have these reoccurring dreams when I was bout 6 years old that my dad was in his truck and I was being chased by something, I don't remember what but it was something evil.. anyway.. I was chasing his truck trying to catch up to him and he was screaming at me telling me to hurry and get in but I couldn't catch him. The evil creatures would catch me and kill me and I'd wake up screaming.

Another was I would be in the truck with my father and he would literally open the door going 60 mph and jump out leaving my by myself.

He killed himself when I was 3 years old, so maybe it means that he left too soon? But what do you think these mean?

  1. This bespeaks of your insecurity and anxiety.  That your father jumped out is that he left suddenly.  This is clearly stated in the dream.  To ease this sense if the dream occurs, I suggest that you recall your father in prayer, asking that God have mercy and forgiveness upon him,  Additionally, you must perform and act in a righteous and good-mannered way so that your father's soul can rest knowing his son is goodly.  Your father will get the reward of your good behavior. He needs something to give him peace as the trailing evil and fright is not something in or from you.  This is the state your father's soul is in.  You need to do something on his behalf.  Prayer or charity.  This will cause you comfort in your sleep.

    Regards

  2. im sorry to hear that but maybe it means your dad left you and left you with alot of pain and misery, and he will never be coming back...thats what i think at least. just pray to God that you wont have anymore of these dreams

  3. Woah, this had to be hard for you to have this dream when you were 6. Sorry about your dad dying. Anyway, it means that you want to help him and keep him from killing himself. Thats what it sounds like. Telling you to hurry and tell him to stop from killing himself.

  4. i think your guess is right... im sorry about your dad :[

  5. Of course he left to soon.  He is supposed to be your teacher, mentor, rock and protection and he left you alone and vulnerable.

You were dealing with loss and fear.  It you still have these dreams its time to talk to someone about letting him go and forgiving him for leaving you.  One thing we all need to remember no matter how bad or weak or helpless  we think our parents are they are doing the best they can.  That he gave up in despair is not your fault.

  6. When ever I had a nightmare, at the end I would see a tornado with a evil face in the middle of it. Then I would wake up. Freaky! :S
