  1. Ask a doctor, definitely.  I got hit straight-on on my forehead, and I've had the worst headaches ever since, so I definitely understand your point.  If the doctor says your okay, stash some aspirin in your purse and try to survive it.

  2. After all this time I doubt the blow to the head is causing your headaches. I had my head bashed against a concrete wall and had headaches for a long time but no long term effects from it. You are probably having stress headaches just like the rest of us. If taking pain relievers don't help see a Doctor for further testing. If you are worried it is from the blow to your head it is very unlikely, the headaches would have continued and you would have gotten worse much sooner than 8-9 months.

  3. Maybe. I'm not a doctor. I don't want to scare you either. I would go to the doctors if it keeps happening.

  4. You may want to see a doctor, even though it has been a while.

If you have been checked out by the doctor, there are a few things you can do for self-care:

    * Get a massage from a licensed massage therapist who specializes in headaches.

    * Try using some essential oils.  A drop of peppermint to the temples can work wonders.

    * Over the counter painkillers work well for some people (naproxen works well for me.)

    * Try a cold compress (or one of those gel ice packs with a towel wrapped around it.)
