I’ve had this dream since I was a small kid. In the dream I am at my grandparents house when suddenly the house is attacked by monsters. Can’t ever see them, they are like giant shadows moving across the ground. My whole family is frantic and everyone is hiding. I have hidden in a small hole in the ground behind some shrubbery. The shadow monsters are destroying everything and then they finally go away. Everyone is telling me to stay hidden but I get up and step out from behind the shrubs anyway. Then suddenly the shadows are back. But this time when I turn to get in my hiding place, my entire family has crammed into it and there is no room for me anymore and they are all telling me to go find somewhere else to hide. So I start running toward the house and the shadow monsters are coming after me. But that is usually when I wake up. I don’t have that dream every night but every so often I do. It’s been over 20 years and I’m still having that same dream. Does it mean something?

  1. something worrying you about your grand perants

  2. I think its a message that your a coward. Next time you have that dream, don't hide, or anything. Also remember one thing, Your mind is more importan than your body, it controls your body, and its so easy for your mind to get phyced out and stuff. just think of the creator (I'm not staying it in a religous way but in a spiritual way) and i have fiath you'll evantually forget these dreams.

  3. it probably means that you arnt a person who is easily frightened and that your parents are more or less likely to turn you down for a favor you might ask them (senice they pushed you out to find your own hidding spot), or they could just be parenting you really good to push you in the right direction i think that they feel that you are ready to face the world and anything that is to come......

                                     hope i was helpful, sarah

  4. If you don't know what it means then that's okay... maybe it doesn't mean anything. All you need to do is ask God to take it away. Lean on him and you'll be okay. Stop fretting about it. (If you are not a Christian, then I just want to let you know that I can answer this question with personal experience on my side.)

  5. you dream about the last thing that you think before you go to bed, so deep down you should know if you think about it, i mean maybe it means you felt ledt out of your family likie there wasnt enough room.

  6. not really...its just that your mind is set on something and doesnt want to let go. you need to think about it, talk about it, write it down...and in to the trash can it goes....(=

  7. Wow I've had the same type of dreams to since i was 8 but now i'm 12 my dream goes, i come home from school and i am giving my mom a kiss on the cheek then when i look in her eyes its dead black!  then i scream run upstaires and my dads like sweetheart whats wrong and i tell him what happend to my mom and then he says "like this" and his eyes go dead black to. then shadow figures come out of my paretns and kill them and go after me then i wake up i've had thease dream 1 every 2 weeks and my moms sent me to a therepist and it helped mabey you should do that too?

  8. this could mean 1 of 2 things. 1 if u still live with your parents, u r afraid of moving out because for some reason u think they wont have room 4 u anymore. or if u dont live with family then u r afraid that some one will rob the house

  9. Wow. Thats very ineresting. I would think it has to do with exclusion and it must feel horrible because in the dream everyone is acting against you. I think it has to do with exclusion.

  10. Is there any history of witchcraft, or sorcery, or anything similar in your family?  The reason I asked is that it's at your grandparent's house.  That has to do with your inheritance.  Your whole family has crammed into hiding- it's affected your family line.

I don't know your beliefs, but it's possible to break a family curse.

You break the curse of_____ whatever it was or is- something unGodly

and renounce it and place it on the cross of Jesus.

    You can end it.

    God bless.

  11. Reoccurring dreams that are random mean that your mind is trying to tell you something that you do not realize. I looked up some key words in the dream for you.  House  means something like  . Shadow means the helpless or the under-developed.  Monsters represent grief and misfortune or fears or some repressed emotions.  Destruction means there is some chaos occurring in your life. Family means security, warmth and love. Pit or hole represents hidden aspects of your activities, and hiding means keeping some secret or withholding some information. Hope it helps. :)

  12. hmmm, maybe professional help? but im sure it means nothing. I have reoccurring dreams about my teeth falling out!

  13. Oh, Dear 'Sleepless Nights' --

I CAN empathize with you.  I'm past 82 years old, and I can still remember some of my childhood dreams -- when I dreamed that I could fly -- literally -- by just flapping my arms, to rise above the ground below and soar around for a while to view my familiar neighborhood. And I still have dreams today -- most of them VERY  *STRANGE* and sometimes *FRIGHTENING* and I've gotten to the point in my "last days in Life" of praying to God Almighty -- every night before I go to sleep -- to give me "restful & peaceful sleep -- WITHOUT any dreaming of ANY KIND".  I'm still waiting for my answer!  This morning, for example, I dreamed that I litterally had to *fight for my life* to awaken from a 'nightmare' wherein I was being tormented by a group of strange men over my *right* to the ownership of a plot of land on a beautiful bay of water which had been purchased -- original title-free owner, by my father, which was MINE through only-legal-surviving heirship.  Oh, Dear Heaven!  My confused 'dreaming mind' had all the present-day-facts totally *wrong*, and I awakened in a *fighting and exhausted* state/condition.

  14. It seems like recurring dreams are related to suppressed memories of a trauma that you never dealt with.  I get the idea that something happened to you at your grandparents that you tried to get away from and your family either ignored it or weren't there to protect you.  Ask your family if they remember anything happening to you that was upsetting to you.  As an adult it may have seemed trivial, but to a child just taking a bath away from home can be traumatic.

  15. The shadows probably represent the unknown, however different concrete problems in your life could be assigned to them.  The fact that your family tells you not to leave the hole then take it over after you leave probably represents that although they're supposed to have your best interests in mind you mistrust them (possibly rightfully so, possibly not) and in some cases they might appear to and then not really.  Either way, there are definitely some issues you need to work out with your family members because dreams are the pathway to your subconscious mind.  They often inform you of problems in your life that need to be taken care of, after which you will probably rest easier.

  16. it means that its purple

  17. Maybe it's because something happen to you at your grandparents when you were a child.

  18. wow, thats scary im sorry =(

    cant help

i used this website once http://www.dreammoods.com/dreamdictionar... cuz im always falling in my dreams, its a horrible feeling

and u can look up monsters or exclusion or hiding or something

    =)

  19. Try therapy. It's probably an emotional problem.

  20. Is there something you're afraid of in real life? Maybe the shadow monster is a symbol of something that you're afraid of in real life. Like for instance my mom is an educator who is trying really hard to make her school better, but some people in her school don't understand. She has what she calls flying dreams sometimes. It's where she's teaching people how to fly with just their bodies and is trying to explain to them how simple it is, sort of the same thing she's trying to do in education.

  21. man your family is messed up not letting you get in the hiding spot

  22. yes whenever u have a nightmare it's your mind trying to get over something that is on ur mind even if u don't really think about it and it will keep coming back until u do something about oh and from reventing it to happen don't each anything with sugar in it makes nightmares come!

  23. I am not a dream interpreter, but I have been able to decipher a few of my own common dreams which may help you do the same.  I have found that my recurring dreams coincide with what is happening in my life.

For example I have a recurring dream with me standing in a house on the ocean looking out a window, the waves are actually lapping at the bottom of the window, but suddenly the waves start getting bigger until they are so big I know they are going to crash through the window.

I have this dream when something is happening in my life that I feel I cannot control and I am unsure or frightened of where it is taking me.

I have also noticed that if I am just uncertain but feeling like I have a little control then I am often playing in the waves and ridding them, but as they get bigger I get a little scared but keep ridding them.

So if you think about the times you have this dream you will probably see it coincides with something happening in your own life. You could be feeling like you are not getting enough support from your family and friends, or like me it could be a situation you are feeling you cant control and feel uncertain about.

Anyway hope this helps, our dreams are our subconscious working through things, so paying attention can help us understand ourselves better.  I also find I don't remember my dreams unless it is one that is about something troubling me. And I am often not aware I am so troubled until I have the dream.

  24. to me it sounds like you feel that in that situation your family would rather save themselves then you. you are in dout of your family, maybe your depressed about them, or maybe you have a secret that you want to tell them but are afraid to, or just feel insecure.

have you got a phobia of shadows or darkness?

yahoo! answers won't always have the best answers, so i'd say to try a therapist for a more accurate analysis. or maybe hypnoses, apparently it's really great because they can put you in a trance it's really affective!

    hope this has helpped,

(how long has it been since a family reunion? maybe you should have one, might help, you never know...)
