Repair/clean wood blinds?

could someone please tell me if the tapes (fabric part) on wood blinds can be replaced or repaired,as a DIY project. Also some of them are badly stained, what would be the best way to clean, they are white, they are in a house we bought. I'd love to keep them if possible.

They can not only be repaired, but cleaned as well. They can be removed and taken to a place that normally installs blinds. They have ultrasonic cleaning machines that do a great job. Good luck.

Light them on fire and walk away.  That should do the trick.
