Repair equipment question

Question

I have my trusty little Weller soldering iron that I use for electronics board repair, but I find it does not have nough juice to handle the wiring connections on the older point to point units, or especially the chassis connections. Should I be looking at a soldering gun or a higher powered iron for this?Recommendations welcomed - thanks!
