Repair factory stereo CD player?

Question

I have a 93 toyota 4runner, the factory CD player doesnt work - it spits the CD back out when inserted. Is it something that can be and is worth fixing? If it is how do I remove the stereo without it locking?

Try To Reset It & If That Doesnt Work Rewire The Radio.

locate the tiny reset button and try to reset it before you actually replace it

With a 15 year old CD player, I'd give serious thought to replacing with a new aftermarket unit. Parts are difficult to find on many of these older units.
