My ancestors came here as indentured laborers, which is the same thing as being a slave until your "master" determines that you have "paid back" your debt of passage, food, lodging, etc.   This could and did last for a lifetime of slavery for many "indentured" laborers, who worked for unscrupulous "masters."

Does that mean that I can get "reparation payments" if they come to pass?  I figure I am just as qualified as a black person.

Don't worry, when Obama becomes president everyone will work equally as hard for his glory and for the same pay, except the lazy freeloaders and druggies who will get paid the same as everyone else for doing nothing.
