Repeat Nightmare for 2 years? Meaning or message? ?

Question

I have had a dream or variations of a dream for the past 2 years. I have it about twice a month and each time it keeps me on guard for days after. I want to know the meaning or message or something- anything of why I'm having this dream. care to take a guess?

Dream: I'm at home and my husband asks me to run an errand- check on his mothers house since she's out of town. I drive-and it's starting to storm- but no rain, it's getting dark. I'm going through a wide tunnel. I finally get to my MIL house and open the door and turn the switch on, only to see that someone has followed me. I turn around and without shutting the door or turning off the light I jump in my car and speed off- I keep looking back at the light I left on and the door i left open. I call my husband on my cell- tell him I'm sorry I left her door open and he says it's fine, he'll go back later to turn it off and shut door.

I get home. I push the door shut but it doesn't latch. All the sudden 3 men and a woman bust in. They take my husband away in another room and my children in a different room, then they hold me hostage, but won't tell me what they want. I offer money- they don't want it.I befriend one of the captures and beg him not to hurt me- he says he can't promise that. They take me away and tell me to climb through a tunnel (that goes upward) I fall through and i keep falling (it's pitch black) and finally I reach the bottom unharmed. A dark figured man grabs my arm and says I don't belong there- and throws me outside. It's still dark and I wake up.

End Dream.

It terrifies me. I wake up sweating, sometimes crying and really afraid. What could it mean?

The storm in your dream is a warning for something to come. You are afraid that in doing something good (checking house) will result in a lose towards you. There is something in your past that you want to change but you know you can't (closing the door and turning off the light). However, your husband is helping you through it whether you realize it or not. You are terrified of something happening to you or your children and if something happens to them, you might have to risk your life to save them.. but you won't die. You are afraid of men harming you at night.

You don't belong in a a life with so much danger.

This dream could be the result of a stressful life or a very vivid imagination. It could also be a warning to always lock the door at night or when your gone... so i advise you to do that.

This dream seems absolutely terrifying, go to the store and (i know this sounds childish) buy a stuffed animal and make it promise to keep you safe at night. sleep with the animal watching you or with the animal.

Something in your life that you have shut out or blocked out (the pitch black room, the running away from someone).  The hostage situation is because whatever it is you are running from in your life is holding you hostage.  The only way to get through it is to face whatever happened to you 2 years ago.

Something happened to you two years ago, and it doesn't nessecarily have anything to do with hostage situations.

It might well be the case that whatever happened, it made you feel so scared that your mind can only comprehend it by using those images in that particular scenario.

there's the possibility that it's demonic.  I don't know your beliefs, but

you can pray and demand the demons leave in the name of Jesus.

Then ask God for his protection when you sleep.
