Question:

Repeating numbers on clock?

When ever I look at the clock it is always, 11:11, 1:11, 5:55, etc. I have read that other people's experience the same thing. What does it mean.

The number that repeats itself the most often is 3:33. Does 3:33 have a significant meaning--I was wondering because I was born at 3:36pm according to my birth certificate but I think maybe I was really born at 3:33 and the doctors just finally got around to recording my time of birth a few minutes later. (I've read that time of births are accurate within +- 5minutes of the actual time.)

PLEASE don't tell me that I am just paying more attention to these numbers when I look at the clock and that I am ignoring every other time I look if it is not a repeating number, because it happens most often when someone else asks me what time it is. Then I go to find out and its 2:22. So I am consciously having to go look at the clock and report the time. It also happens when I wake up, I wake up and it is 3:33 in the morning or something.

  1. Sounds like coincidence to me -your reading too much into it..!

  2. I see this on here all the time.  I can't imagine any significance what so ever.  I can't even make anything up.  If this is what is making you special, try starting a hobby.

PS.  You are out of place, what you said to Jonquill.  You posted your question in a public forum, she has every right to reply.  That is what it is here for, for everyone, not just you.

  3. Okay, since you don't want to hear about how this is just a mundane occurrence, I suggest you research numerology. You want these numbers to mean something then  research things that will back up your belief system.

A lot of the paranormal is based simply on our own beliefs, nothing wrong that we all have our religious and spiritual beliefs.

  4. This is called confirmation bias.  You remember the times when your digital clock have repeated numbers because you have assigned special meaning.  When the clock reads a time which has no special meaning to you, you don't take note.

Consider what your position would be before the advent of digital clocks.  3:33, 5:55, etc. do not look special on an analog clock.

  5. It may very well be a paranormal experience.

HOWEVER, what jonquill replied was a perfectly logical answer. It makes sense, and you have no right to attack someone who gives you a response. By posting this on a public forum, you allow anybody who reads your question to respond, and getting upset when somebody gives you an answer you don't want is both immature and uncalled for.

  6. I see 11:11 all the time. I also see 3:33  4:44 and 12:12 Go to

  7. Very strange and interesting phenomenum.  I know someone with similar happenings.

I have no idea what this means.  Is it just coincidence?  It's a strange universe.  Maybe repeating numbers means 'something is being repeated.'

Is there anything in your life or in your enviroment that is repeating?  Life is cyclic.  Events seem to be cyclic.  I would take this to mean something is being repeated.  It's the symbolism that's of interest to me.

  8. For many nights several years ago, I would wake up at 3:21 - many, many nights - until I just took it for granted and, guess what, I stopped waking up at that time.

Think of how many times the clock can give a repetitive number per day...  Really, it's not so surprising at all - particularly when you talk to many people about the topic and the number of times we look at the clock or watch every day of the year for our entire lives!

  9. 33 is a Master Number.

He /in my language and my inner vision it-33 is "he"-/ likes you.

    - the 3 from Bible, esoteric etc.

  10. Yahoo does not give you the right to restrict what kind of responses you receive.  If you don't want dissenting opinions, perhaps you should start your own website, and not tell anyone else about it.  That way it would be only you.  I for one really enjoy Jonquill's questions and answers, all more interesting and better thought out than this mundane silly question.  She has every right to respond however she wishes within YA guidelines, whether you appreciate freedom of expression or not.

  11. It happens to everybody depending on there lifestyle can program there internal clocks.

  12. Sounds to me like you want to find some paranormal significance in a mundane event.

Given the time of birth may be 5 mins out what evidence do you have that is should be 3.33 any more than it should be 3.34 or 3.35?

And if it is not coincidence what would be another logical explanation? A supernatural power is forcing you to look at the clock at certain times in the day? How would it do that? Why would it do that? What meaning or message could it possibly hope to convey?

    Edit;

That's all right, lots of people on here seem not to like me, I don't mind at all.

I saw you say in your profile that you have "Graduated with a BS in psychology." the BS stands for bachelor of science and not the other BS I am assuming - but you approach what seems to be a simple coincidence from the magical mumbo jumbo angle, and in another post you describe how upset you got when you had a dream that your mother woke you for school. I guess I'm just surprised that a person with a good education would rather believe in mystical nonsense rather than apply logic to seek the truth.

    Edit

Lol at radiochick for calling me rude  :D

Since you find numbers so significant I'd like to point out that you made a big error with the number of cats that I have. I only have two cats, not twenty, neither are they fat or confined to the house.

Never mind, better luck with getting some facts right in your next rant.
