  1. The Gage mite be broken, the wirer pulled off or broken on either end, a bad ground in the system. take a battery and hook it to the Gage and see if it moves, and hook the battery both poss-able directions. I had a chevy and some fool had put a Ford Gage in it; that's a reverse ground so the Gage never moved because of that. you can also hook the battery to the wirer and she if the Gage moves that way you will be testing the whole system. If the wirer is bad fix or replace it, Gage same thing. I had one that read full when empty and empty when full. l

  2. It's the gauge or the regulator that controls the gauge. Keep guessing and changing parts. You'll have a whole new car someday! Don't take it to a mechanic whatever you do. They'll just fix it. What fun is that?

  3. Could be a failed fuel level gauge, broken wiring, bad ground, etc.  More than likely its going to be an electrical problem and there are many wires that communicate the level from the sender to the gauge.

Best to take it to a trusted mechanic
