Replaced old stove/oven with separate bench top/oven do i wire both together as one into mains wiring?

the new bench top / oven has separate wires can i just join both sets of wires together to the single set of wires coming out of the wall for the old stove all the wires have the same color code

  1. Probably can but i personally would pay an electrician to make the connection.


  2. YES YOU CAN---BUT YOU CANT USE BOTH AT THE SAME TIME,, THEY WILL THROW THE BREAKER,,BEST TO RUN SEPERATE LINE FOR EACH  ONE,,USE A T LEAST A 40 AMP BREAKER FOR EACH  ONE

  3. yes you can but you need to make sure that you have enough power from that source, if not it will trip your circuit breaker, however i would think it has enough power considering you are really not drawing more power than your old range, they both had an oven and a stove.

  4. Definitely get an electrician. If you do it yourself you void any warranty on the stove and cooktop. You also could void your home insurance if something goes really wrong with it.

    It really just isn't worth doing it yourself.

    I'm not a sparky myself, but have seen enough dodgy wiring and burnt homes to say you should use one.
