I have a Candy Convex oven which with a problem. The grill worked and the oven light but no heat from the oven. Purchased new oven heating element, opened up oven and removed old emement. Element was badly distorted and split in one part so felt condifent this was the cuae of the fault. Fitted new element but when I turned on the oven, it tripped the circuit breaker. I tried again but it stayed on for about a minute and was heating ok, but then tripped the circuit breaker again. I thought I would smell burning coming from the oven also when I tested it. We took apart the oven several times ensuring that all wires were put back correctly and that no wires were trapped and that nothing was out of place but still has the same problem. Please can somebody point me in the right direction.
cheers
