im replacing my rearend and when i went to the junk yard to get a new one it had 2 blocks stacked 1 1in block & 1 2"block, i was told by people on this site never to stack blocks. but can i replace my 1"block w/the 2"block. i think it would look cool raised a lil in back. or am i not even going to see the 1" lift difference? am i going to mess anything up? or should i just forget the 2"blk and put on the 1" and keep what i had?

  1. well it is really up to you on what your wanting it to look like. and true you should not stack the blocks. i lowered mine 3 and 4 but i done 4 in the back to take the pitch out and make it sit level with te front.

  2. The moment you start changing the lift on a drive axle you run into problems with driveline angles and start busting U-joints. I recommend you keep the stock spacer blocks and beef up the springs with an additional leaf. This will give you 3/4 to 1" higher ride without messing up the driveline and provide additional load handling ability at near max load.
