Replacing Sky box with Skyplus box?

Hi if I only want the recording feature of skyplus do I still have to get installation done. If I ring and pair the card with the new skyplus box. I got the box from a friend so its not new.

You will need  two independent connections to the LNB for it to work , i.e. to enable you to record two programmes simultaneously. A Sky+ subscription maybe required to use Personal Video Recorder features of Sky+ you should call Sky for more information.
