Replacing Social Security Card? Mother to Daughter?

My mom is trying replace all the identification of my sister because somehow other then living in 2 different states my sister lost her ID, Social Security Card, and Birth Certificate. What kinda forms would my mom have to take to replace the Social Security card?

She is unuable to get job without these forms.

  1. In many states, if you had a license issued in that state and it is not expired, you only need to go to the DMV and pay a fee to replace it.

    Google your state and birth certificate to see how to request a birth certificate.

    To request a replacement SS card, you can do that on-line. Here is the link:

    However, she will need to supply 2 forms of ID for that.

This is going to be a multistep process.  Your mother will have to check with the jurisdiction in which your sister was born to get the birth certificate.  Once you have that, your sister can replace her ID (I assume it is a driver's license).  Once that has been replaced, your sister can take her certificate and license to the Social Security Administration and replace her Social Security Card (see the link below on how to replace the SS card).  

    Most of this process is going to have to be done by your sister herself (it may be that she may have to get her own birth certificate also, depending on the laws of your home state) since ID theft is such a big concern now.
