I don't want the door any bigger than 30". I was hoping to buy a door and sidelite combo that will fit this opening. Is there a manufacturer that would make this?

  2. Yes i believe that is a standard size. However if you cant find it at Lowes or Home Depot, you can custom order it, but it will be costly.

  3. No. Not without expanding the width

Speaking in terms of a prehung replacement, a 30 inch unit is going to take up approximately 31 1/2 inches of width.

If by some chance you could find someone to build such a "sliver" of a sidelite, the glass would only amount to a couple of inches at best.

I would suggest either enlarging the opening for the side, or just install a 32 inch door.

Actually I know someone that could build one, and would laugh all the way to the bank.

To make a long story short, this is VERY nontypical.

  4. There are so many options I can't list them.  Just Get your rough opening opening.  Meaning stud to stud.  Take that to your local building supply store. (home Depot or lowes usually takes about 4-6 weeks a specialty store usually take half the time.)

  5. There's is a complete set-up exterior door with prehung frame that u can just size the bottom to fit the 6'8" opening.  If ur in the US.  HomeDepot got it.
