Our group owner lost both the yahoo password and the e-mail address where he could have get a new one. So I, as a moderator, made a new group and started to move people there. It is easy to move addresses (allthought you can move only 10/day and we are some hundredrs of people), but how to add existing profiles to a new list? Does everyone have to do it themselves???.... First time many people felt it was a difficult task for non-computer oriented non-english speaking ones!

  1. He would have to create a new account for Yahoo Groups in order to then create a new group.

As for having the other members move over you can also get the link from the owner for what the new group is and post it on the old group.  Then the people can click on the link and join that way as well.

  2. They have to do that on their own. But if you have their passwords, then, as a moderator you could change their profiles. But this would be a burden on you. In addition some members wouldn't want to give their passwords too. As a result, they have to do that on their own:((
