We have a laptop that wont pick up on our wireless at home. There is another laptop in the house that is working just fine. Does that mean we need a new wireless card. How can I tell?

  1. I can't solve your problem, but the staff on the Geek Squad at Best Buy sure can.  They are geniuses.  I wouldn't go anywhere else.

  2. try a repair in network settings. and also check the type of wireless router you have. it could be broadcasting in a newer frequecy(faster but not as compatible with old wireless cards). it also could be dead. in which case idk if it is cost effective to replace it. you might b better off gettting another comp(i emphasize might!!!! you should get a quote on how much it would cost to replace). does it connect to a friends wireless connection? if u were a lil more specific i could help more. if all else fails, spend $100 and take it to a comp shop and they will tell you what is wrong.
