  1. First run a boot up Driver and it will modify all driver that windows don't have and it will work 100% fine.

  2. Shouldn't cause any problems, since you are going to use the same model board should be a simple process.

At the worst you might have to do a repair install which will leave all your files and setting intact.

I replaced a motherboard with a completely different board and processor and didn't have to wipe my windows installation, just caused a bit of frustration getting it to work, but i don't think you'll have any problems at all.

  3. Windows will probably work, but it would be much better to reinstall them.

  4. There are two seperate issues...

Windows resides on the hard drive and as long as the drive works it will display whatever is stored on it, regardless which motherboard you use

A new mother board will NOT change the operating system.

Software is usually at fault when certain hardware works but can't access the drivers for that particular device

If you replace the motherboard with an equal one, you will be back to square one......

  5. Either way I would strongly suggest backing up the files that you want to keep.  You can try, but chances are it wont work unless its the exact same type of motherboard. If it does seem to work, then you want to immediately update all the drivers that concern the motherboard (chipset drivers, controllers, ect).
