Replacing fan switch. I have a new switch for the ceiling fan the old one wasn't attached

I have a new switch for the ceiling fan the old one wasn't attached anymore.. the new switch has a black, blue and red wire... however the inside of the light is yello orange, black and purple.. what goes to what???
