Question:

Replacing plywood sheet siding?

On three sides of our house we have plywood sheet siding, some of which we discovered has wood rot and we need to replace before re-painting the house.

We're having a hard time locating the right sheets - they are about 4 x 8 and 1/4" thick. Any information regarding this product would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Is this T1-11 siding?  That's the stuff shown in the picture in the link below.  It's about a quarter or 3/8 inch thick, and has raised vertical panels that look rough-sawn, and usually a tongue and groove edge to it.

If that's it, ask for it by name at any lumber yard, and they should have it.

  2. there is a new product sold at most building supply stores, hardy panel it is far superior to plywood will not rot termite proff
