Question:

Replacing speakers?

i have 4 rockford fosgates right now. i think i blew out the front right one and i want to get it fixed. will it be ok if i install two alpines or kickers on the front? but have punch's in the back? or should i stick to one brand all around. thanks!

  1. one brand because then your other speakers will sound differnt.


  2. Different brands can sometimes be better, sometimes be worse.

    Since you have Rockford in the back and Rockford is known for bass, you're in good shape. I'd get a brand that picks up the mids and highs like Infiniti or Alpine in the front. That wolud sound very nice.

    Or you could just spend $500 and get JL components around the whole car and not worry about anything... ;-)

  3. really it doesnt matter. But You have to watch your wattage and ohms, but still that shouldnt make much a differnce. If it was me i would go for alpines in the front.Thats wher you want your highs because in most cars bass is lost in the door.(unless you have sealed it off in the back)

  4. Absolutely!!  Just make sure you get the ohmage and wattage correct and you can run whatever you want (or think is best).
