Question:

Replacing touch screen on a Nintendo Ds lite?

Ok, I have had my nintendo ds lite for a few years now and love playing on it often. Unfortunately, the touch screen is now faulty, as in when I touch it with the stylus the line appears in a different part of the screen or the screen doesn't even register it at all. This is really annoying as it means I am unable to play any games on it. The warranty has run out so I can't send it to nintendo for repairs. I know where to buy a replacement screen so i wondered if anyone would know how to fit the new touch screen? Buying a new ds isn't an option right now.

  1. Here's a good detailed guide:

To replace the screen you'd obviously only need to get to the part where you disconnect it then connect the new one. I think it's only the first 4 or 5 steps that you need to complete to remove the motherboard and access the connection for the screen, but also if you look at step 10 of that guide it will help with the disconnection and reconnection of the flatwire for the screen.

    Good luck :D

  2. oh you dont need it replacing!! when you go on the main menu try go on the settings ( ds icon, bottom middle). Then go on the 4th option (the one on the yellow background!) and you can calibrate your ds and then the screen should hopefully be okay. x

Oh, then i think you should take your ds to game and get a price on how much it will cost to repair but if its not worth it i think you should just buy a new ds they new colours are lovely!! especially the green :D x

ebay you can get them for cheap x
