Hey Steve, thank you for your reply. I have taken out the CPU, cleaned it right out, reapplied fresh heat sink paste, the vents are fine, the fan was spinning fine. It does come on and off throughout when the problem occurs but it does that through normal operation anyway. The system does run hot but I understand that is typical of AMD CPUs?After further researching last night, Ive got a feeling that the SiS PCI to USB controller may be the area requiring attention. Theres def something dodgy with the USB bus side of it. If you have any other suggestions, im all ears! I would really love to get back in to DJing again and utilise my investment if you know what I mean... Thanks Steve.
